Tips For Photomanipulations!
1. You can never go wrong with color overlay! And don't be afraid to go dark, it wont make you Gothic or EM, just artistic!
2. Smudge is your friend! It is a tool from the art lords! *bows down*
3. Black borders make everything look better, but don't make them to big, maybe 6 pixels or less.
4. Using bring text on a bright background normally makes it hard to read, so unless your using some form on white or overlay text, stay away from those harsh colors (hot pink, lime green, etc.)
5. Opacity and layers love you, and you love them. Sometimes you don't need brushes or patterns to have a great pic, just good layers with proper opacity!
6. Erasing is good. But working with a current background is also good. It just depends on what you want.
7. Try to be realistic but artistic. Don'T go over board with brushes (it happens to everyone now and again though) and don't fill in ever single inch of the photo manipulation with subjects, keep it simple.
8. Make it your own, but fit to today's style, people often look for art to fit their moods, but don't forget your own style to meet that.
